What a Year!

2012 brought with it quite a few changes for our family.   Just as we were adjusting to life as a family of three we found out that baby #2 was on the way.  We were due to have another little girl in November not long after our daughter's first birthday.  It was absolutely terrifying and so exciting at the same time.  The thought of them growing up together, becoming close sisters and best friends and the adventures that we are going to have as a family.

In May Justin bought his first Harley Davidson and, after a prospecting period, we becaame a part of the Gunners, a law enforcement motorcycle club.  It proved to be one of the best decisions we ever made because we gained a close knit biker family.  We love them all dearly and are so proud to be a part of them!

In August we suffered a great loss when Justin's Grandfather Jackie passed.  Justin was able to talk to him a good bit and was able to be with him in his final moments.

Justin also took on the task of fundraising for Flags for Fallen Military on behalf of the Gunners.  FFFM is a charity organization that places a memorial American flag in memory of fallen soldiers at no cost to their family.   Justin and the Gunners hosted an AR - 15 giveaway and ended up raising $7000 for FFFM.

On Nov. 14th we celebrated our sweet Emily's first birthday.  I can't believe the time flew by so fast!  It seemed like just yesterday that she was a little 3lb 12oz squirt (she was born a month early) sleeping peacefully in her isolete showing all of the nurses how tough she really was.  Now she is this little ball of sunshine and giggles and jibber jabber winning the hearts of everyone who meets her.

On November 19th we welcomed our sweet Oliva into the world.  She weighed a whopping 5lbs 2oz has been the greatest joy.  It was a different experiencing getting to have her in our room with us as our oldest spent the first 10 days of her life in an isolete.  I was able to hold Olivia and keep her with me and bring her home with us.  That was such a relieif to be able to bring our baby girl home with us!  It took some time for her older sister to adjust to the new addition but know she loves her baby sissy very much.   We are settling in nicely as a family of four!

Christmas came and was over before we knew it!   Trying to decorate and host family gatherings was a bit of a challenge with an toddler and newborn in the house but we managed and made some wonderful Christmas memories with our girls.

We took Emily to Fantasy in Lights for the first time and she loved all of the pretty lights!  It will definitely be a Christmas tradition from now on.

Before we knew it Christmas was over and the knew year was here.  2013 is going to be a year of great blessings for us!  I can't wait to share it all with you!
